NOW PLAYING

lookbook (⓿_⓿)

With me my style has always been a weird subject, because after I graduated high school I genuinely stopped caring about what I looked like. I really picked up that hobo chic look minus the chic, I was wearing sweatshirts no matter the temperature, would slap a beanie on my head so I didn't have to do my hair, and was always in pajama bottoms. I could say I went through that phase because I didn't care which I didn't but I was also a little insecure about myself and dressing like that made me not care about my weight. now during this phase that lasted about 3 maybe years at my heaviest I was 198lbs which isn't absolutely horrible but it was because I'm 5ft tall so I was pretty bad built so i didn't care what i put on as long as it was baggy. So from the ages of 18 to about 21 i was dressing like that and genuinely lost all sense of style.

Now to fast forward to today and i have lost over 20lbs and am still actively losing weight but i still haven't like "found my style" i went from hobo chic to athletic wear all the time, like legging and a bbl jacket hate to see me coming. i know how i want to dress and am way more comfortable in my body but i have yet to implement the style that i see for myself.

So this look book is going to be about my "style" journey. this first post is just going to be like showing what my desired style is really like, I'm going to show some inspos and form then on ill post about outfits that I put together, things I'm sewing that fit my new style, and also places to shop/what to buy to achieve said style. so I hope your ready!

Okay so I don't know what the name for my new style may be, if you do plz comment on this post. But the things I'm really loving at the moment are polka dots, tights, and just colors. I really like statement pieces like a really eye-catching bottom that you could wear with like a plain top or an outfit that just colored pieces thrown together. I'm really drawn to these types of outfits because like I said I don't know how to really dress so in my eyes they are visually pleasing but also attainable, meaning there would really be no science behind my outfits i could really just throw something on and not look like a hot mess express. And I don't think I mentioned it but I'm into like an ultra-causal look, and I also still love active wear but in less of a lululemon way and im more of a like early 2000's yoga mom way. And by that I mean I want to wear like cotton workout clothes that are colorful and don't have to be super tight kinda thing.

Now that I'm done over explaining lets get into the inspo....

This is the casual outfit inspo

And this is the athleisure inspo

While I was making these collages I realized that I really like capris and booty shirts but. this is a little peek into what I want my everyday uni style to be. The next update will probably be a sewing project that I do to fit this new vibe, because I can't go shopping or thrifting until my refund check from LSU hits so, I will see you next time!!!!

xoxo,

The Whimsy Loner✨
